Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-31
This Privacy Policy explains how Fomrix collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you visit Fomrix, create an account, or use our browser-based AI 3D generation, model inspection, conversion, repair, and asset-management tools (collectively, the "Service").
1. Information We Process
1.1 Account and support information
We may process your email address, account identifier, profile details, authentication records, preferences, and the information you include in support requests. The exact information depends on the sign-in and account options available to you.
1.2 Uploaded and generated content
When you use generation or another account-linked 3D workflow, we may process the materials needed to perform your request, including:
- JPG, PNG, or WebP reference images submitted for generation;
- generation settings, target dimensions, model options, and task instructions;
- generated meshes, materials, textures, previews, and exported files; and
- technical metadata such as file type, size, geometry statistics, and task status.
The current local GLB, STL, and OBJ viewing, conversion, and repair tools process the file you select inside your browser. Those local tools do not upload the selected 3D file to Fomrix. If a feature requires an upload, the product interface will identify that step before the transfer.
Some of this content may contain personal data about you or other people, including an identifiable image, likeness, or account-linked project. Only submit content that you have the right and permission to process.
1.3 Service, device, and usage information
We may collect task identifiers and status, feature selections, credit usage, account activity, downloads, error and diagnostic records, log data, IP address, browser and device information, referral information, and analytics events. We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and understand the Service.
1.4 Purchases and billing
If you make a purchase, a payment processor handles the payment method. We may receive transaction identifiers, payment status, purchase or plan details, billing contact information, and records needed for credits, accounting, refunds, fraud prevention, and customer support. We do not need your complete card number to provide the Service.
2. How We Use Information
We may use the information described above to:
- receive uploads and generate, inspect, convert, repair, preview, and deliver 3D assets;
- create, authenticate, and maintain accounts;
- manage tasks, subscriptions, purchases, and credits;
- provide support and communicate service or policy updates;
- measure performance and improve reliability and usability;
- detect abuse, fraud, security incidents, and policy violations; and
- comply with law and enforce our agreements.
2.1 Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information as needed to perform our contract with you, comply with legal obligations, protect the Service and our legitimate interests, or act on your consent for optional processing. The basis depends on the information, feature, and purpose involved. You may withdraw consent for optional processing where the product provides that choice or by contacting us.
3. Storage and Service Providers
Fomrix relies on service providers to operate the Service. Depending on the feature you use, your information may be sent to or processed by:
- cloud hosting and object-storage providers that receive uploads and store task inputs or outputs;
- AI model providers that process reference images and generation settings to produce the requested 3D result;
- authentication and account-service providers;
- payment processors used for the checkout shown to you; and
- analytics, logging, error-monitoring, and support providers.
We may validate files, review requests, or use provider safeguards to prevent abuse and enforce our Terms and Acceptable Use Policy. A request may be rejected when it violates those policies, cannot be processed safely, or is not supported by the current Service.
Provider availability and configuration can change as the Service develops. Their processing may occur in different countries and is also subject to their applicable terms and privacy practices.
Fomrix does not make a blanket promise that every downstream model provider excludes submitted content from model improvement or training. That treatment depends on the provider, product configuration, and terms applicable to the feature at the time you use it. Any more specific disclosure presented in the product applies to that workflow.
4. Retention and Deletion
Retention is not the same for every data type or feature. Uploaded files, intermediate files, and generated results may remain in object storage or provider systems while a task is processed, made available for delivery or retry, supported, secured, or removed by an automated lifecycle rule. The applicable period depends on the current technical implementation, product settings, provider behavior, and the controls shown in your account or task interface. This Policy does not promise a fixed deletion period when the Service does not verify one.
Where account or task deletion controls are available, you may use them. You may also contact us to request deletion. Deleting a file or closing an account may not immediately remove copies from backups, security logs, or a provider's systems, and some account, transaction, dispute, tax, or abuse-prevention records may be retained when reasonably necessary or legally required.
5. When We Disclose Information
We may disclose information:
- to the providers described above to perform the Service;
- when you direct us to share or publish a result, or otherwise consent;
- to comply with law, legal process, or a valid government request;
- to protect users, the public, Fomrix, or the integrity of the Service; or
- in connection with a financing, reorganization, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.
6. Cookies and Analytics
We and our providers may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for sign-in, preferences, security, functionality, analytics, and error monitoring. Browser controls may let you block or remove some technologies, but doing so can affect Service functionality. Where required, available consent controls describe optional uses.
When enabled, optional PostHog analytics starts only after you allow it in Privacy choices. It uses a random browser identifier to measure referral categories and public referring hostnames, campaign labels, page navigation, task steps, technical failures and confirmed credit transactions. We do not send uploaded images, generated models, filenames, email addresses, payment details or signed file URLs to this analytics service. Session recording is not enabled. Declining analytics does not limit generation or payment.
You can withdraw permission or exclude your browser through Privacy choices. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable optional collection. Preferences and analytics identifiers expire after 90 days. Withdrawal stops new collection and cancels locally queued analytics; events already delivered may remain under the analytics provider's configured retention policy. Contact us for deletion requests. Essential transaction and security records follow their separate retention requirements.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your account credentials confidential and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
8. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of certain personal data, or to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Account settings may provide some controls. You can submit another request tosupport@fomrix.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain data where an exception or legal obligation applies.
Where applicable, you may also lodge a complaint with the data protection or privacy authority responsible for your location.
9. International Processing
Fomrix and its providers may process information outside your country. Where required, we use or rely on appropriate mechanisms for cross-border transfers, subject to applicable law.
10. Children and Other People's Data
The Service is not directed to children who cannot legally consent to the processing of their data. Do not submit a child's or another person's image, likeness, model, or personal data unless you have all legally required authority and consent. Contact us if you believe such information was submitted improperly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as the Service, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version here and update the date above. Additional notice will be provided when required by applicable law.
12. Contact Us
